Synthetic identities compromise audits.
Sir Ian McCubbin has registered four identities in Companies House. Companies House is a de-duplicated system which associates all appointments to the same identity if the name, date of birth and usual residential address is consistent. Hence they provide a “Total number of appointments” for an identity. When one of these attributes is varied, a duplicate identities is erroneously created as a result of a false non-match, by the computer system.
This can be done accidentally, in which case the individual will disclose all their interests. If interests are not disclosed, then this is evidence that the duplicate identities, known as “synthetic identities”, were created deliberately, with the intention of concealing interests and compromising audits. All audits associated to Sir Ian McCubbin are compromised because the interests held in the other identities are not considered by an auditor for related party transactions, during an audit of a company held in one identity. The auditor and audit software remain unaware of the other identities.
Sir Ian McCubbin has one real identity and three synthetic identities registered in Companies House. The Financial Services Authority refers to these as clone identities. I have submitted this complaint to Roslin Cell Therapies Limited: The biography of Sir Ian McCubbin is incomplete. He has active directorships at Keirbridge Limited, Bioindustry Association and Cell Therapy Catapult Limited. He has four identities registered in Companies House and I allege that your failure to disclose these other appointments is evidence of his fraud by false representation and fraud by failing to disclose information. Your accounts have been corrupted because he has concealed interests. Roslin Cell Therapy's website is publishing misinformation.
