Apologies for my silence, I’ve been working on a report that just keeps growing.
Meanwhile, today I received an electioneering email from Keir Starmer which spurred me to write the following response:
Hi Keir,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your vision for a changed Labour Party. I appreciate the effort and commitment you and your team are putting into the campaign.
However, I have a significant concern that I hope you can address. It has come to my attention that you have established three unique identifiers in Companies House (https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/search/officers?q=Keir+Starmer).
This appears to be a breach of Section 1082 of the Companies Act 2006. The implications of this are quite serious, as it can conceal interests associated with one identity from those held in another, potentially invalidating audits and Know Your Customer checks. This undermines the rules designed to protect the public from money laundering, counter-terrorism financing, and people trafficking.
It is troubling that the Crown Prosecution Service has not prosecuted breaches of Section 1082 and that Action Fraud has been unresponsive to these issues. You are not alone in this; for instance, Rishi Sunak has three identities, one with a false date of birth (https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/search/officers?q=Rishi+Sunak), and the chair of HMRC has eleven identities as Gadhia and a twelfth as Ghadia (https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/search/officers?q=Jayne-Anne+Gadhia and https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/search/officers?q=Jayne-Anne+Ghadia). This problem is widespread and needs urgent attention.
In light of these revelations, I urge you to consider the implications of such actions and the message it sends to the public. Transparency and accountability are crucial for trust in our political leaders. I would like you to take a strong stand on this issue by withdrawing from the election and calling on others with multiple identities to do the same.
The British public deserves Members of Parliament who are both trustworthy and accountable. By addressing this issue head-on, you can demonstrate a commitment to justice and transparency that our country desperately needs.
Thank you for considering my concerns. I look forward to your response and to seeing how you will address this important issue.
Yours sincerely,
Alison Wright
